Posted is my only 3 footer planted tank, after much questions posted and algae battling. ( which still is an occasionaly problem now ). Composed mainly of slow growing ferns and mosses. Still in process of growing and scaping. Comments most welcome

care to show a frontal pic and post the tank/equipment & flora/fauna specs?
im thinking of a future 3 footer slow growing plants setup based on ferns, anubias, crypts & mosses (and maybe a couple of echins) and would love to see and get more info on other similar setups as a reference

Hi Burnz. you have a stunning tank! Very clean and calm looking and the Java and moss look healthy. I really like the placement of the bogwoods and it's in harmony with the layout of the plants.

Are you submitting this picture for ADA 2008 competition?

By the way, I saw the picture of your avatar many years ago and it has left me with a deep impression.

Great work and do keep us posted.

    Hi Burnz

A potential ADA winner..Wow, looks calming and the effect is great! I feel that your scape will look nicer with a white/ blue background.

    Well done!

very nice, though it is a bit too dark. Is it because of the dark background? or not enough flash when taking photo?

Beautiful setup. Now you make me want to setup a planted tank more. Can we have more details of the tank?

    Hi Burnz,

Very impressive scaping, looking at the picture thought was a 4 ft. tank but is a 3 ft. which really give a beautiful scene plus the growth of the healthy plants brighten up the whole tank. Your tank can submit for the ADA 2008 competition as what Zenscape said, we are proud for you and your work, do give a try to win a prize. Cheers.

Amazing! I think the dark ambience with the spotlight focus effect on the centerpiece's really good! There's this mysterious and gradioso feel to it. Must try that some day.

The plants and woods are well placed and in good harmony. Definitely good looking scape. Look big for a 3 footer and good photograhy too.

    Hi Maurice,

Thanks, you have good setups too! Yes, i am trying for ADA this year but i'm not hoping for much lol.

As for the picture in my avatar,it was done a couple of years ago and posted it in AF, which is probably where you might have seen it. I wasn't good at all with water chemistry and fert regime back then so my set-ups wouldn't last for too long obviously. That got me rather discouraged and i stopped for planting for a while. Only recently i decided to pick it up again and learn as much as i can from people in AQ, and i would say it did help me alot. ( My ferns are not rotting and i recovered from 2 bouts of algae boom! )

To be frank i always liked the set up in the avatar, and so this current set-up was based on same concept, attempted on a larger scale.

    cheers,
    Burnz
