Came as a contaminant. Never knew it to be such a terror until Ranmasatome told me to becareful with it. Its a fin nipper and a scale eater. Even big fishes are afraid of these guys!

Indeed, it took off the scales of my slow moving dwarf puffer and left it for dead, chop on the fins of an unknown cory, terrorized my male endler but the interesting behavior i observed is that it leaves the hastatus alone. Sometimes, its the hastatus that is chasing it instead.

A fellow i grew to love! Would be a sight to behold with a school of them together with a school of hastatus.

See how close they are in imitating the corydoras hastatus. Sorry for the poor picture. Shot it in a tank with new gravel, hence the milky background.

first one good sharpness, but white balance is a bit off. if you have Canon RAW and using DPP, try to use click-white balance.

    the cory looks starved!
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

OOhh... I remember these terrors! Bought a whole bag of them and no other fishes dare to venture in the open after that. Even fishes that are much, much bigger! In the end, had to give them away.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

I feel they are the best looking hastatus mimicking tetra among so many others. Such a pity fore their beauty comes packed with a feisty behavior, or should i say appetite?

Maybe only the Hastatus can stand them....that's why they are seen to shoal together with them.....

Ya. Like ranma mentioned to me, because they look the "same", so he's not harassing the hastatus.
