Pregnant platy fish?

I've past experience with platy fish giving birth but never come across one like this. Is there something wrong or it's just heavily pregnant? Even the fish scales are 'standing up'

That's a sign of dropsy. If the scales pop out like how a pineapple looks like, then your fish is close to death. Often, even with treatment, the chances of recovery is slim.

Thanks. It indeed looks like sign of dropsy after googling. Sad that it happened, luckily she has given birth to 5-6 fry and still counting. Now just wondering whether should i let her be or end her suffering. She has been like that for a week+.

I'd suggest you remove her to a hospital tank, and let her live out her days in peace. Until she shows signs of recovery, do not reintroduce into the old tank. Sometimes, the fish get dropsy even with the best care possible.
