hi all. i have been looking at videos of beautifully decorated tanks. my question is, how to clean it? there are so many plants, or the grass or rocks or sand and how to maintain it and clean it? all the uneaten food and poo is on the ground, at the corner and all that.
Very easy, do not over feed, poo will be decompose by bacteria and become fertilizer for plant. What you need to do is weekly water change, clean the glass and trim the plant when necessary. That assuming you manage to strike the balance between light, CO2, flow and nutrient, which is the hard part for many hobbyist

hmm. i heard that CO2 is already in the tank? as in CO2 from outside can enter the water? so all i really need is a good filter, lighting and not to over feed right?

oh ok. i'll do a research on that. and i have been watching some youtube videos and this guy puts alot of stuff at the bottom. some kind of soil for the plant growth? follow by the gravel? is that right?
and when the plants get long and thick trimming is enough right? the roots doesnt matter? cause i saw this guy on youtube opulling his plants out and the root is damn long.
It depend on what type of substrate you are having, Some like ADA Aquasoil does not require base fert.
Trimming is depend on the plant species, different plant need to be trim differently. For example hairgrass, you can just cut like cutting hair. Fern species on the other hand need to trim as close as to the rhizome.
