Does anyone know how to buy the fish on Aquabid?
I saw the transhipper thingy but not sure if I need to get a LFS to bring it in and how often do they take a shipment.

Also, some look very nice but I am wary if the pic is a real representation of the fish.
    Anyone got it before?

    Thanks in advance.

Enquire Yunfeng aquarium if they facilitate as the transhipper for the said seller on Aquabid. That said, they bring in fanciful strains frequently from overseas farms and breeders, so it would be wise to visit their premise to see if you can find the ones you really like before contemplating buying through Aquabid. Like you said, there's always a risk buying fish via the internet because you cannot judge the physical condition of the stock.

Thanks - I did pop by yunfeng today and apparently they had a shipment from Thailand 2 days ago - lots of Bettas on display! Lots of nice Giants though.
Unfortunately, they didn't have the platinum red dragons I was looking for. Had a couple of decent HMPKs though but still looking out for the red brother...
I should have asked them about the shipping and how much they charge - just worried about the sellers on Aquabid. Maybe I'll hold out till their next shipment or local breeder.

If anyone bought from a reputable seller before, do let me know the name - thanks!

There are plenty of local breeders but they seldom disclose the fish they are keeping unless they have surplus stock. You can inquire the seller in this case to see if he's willing to send them via the transhipper that I already mention. Otherwise, you can try giving Express mail service a shot but you'll have to pay more for that.

Try searching past threads on Arofanatics as well. They have a sturdy group of breeders there, so there might be a possibility that you can get the platinum red dragon, which I believe is a relatively common yet popular strain here.
