Dear all,
I had just recently restart a new tank. Any recommendation for water conditioner?

Using Ocean Free brand water conditioner. Quite ok with it as i have been using this for years. SeaChem is good, but it has a very strong foul smell which i dont really like.
I use Wizz anti-chlorine chloramine and fast cycle.
Got its own Qoo10 e-shop too

Seachem safe and prime are the most cost effective and reliable ones imo
Has anyone overdose or underdose on Anti-Chlorine n Chloramine before?
What effect does it have on aquarium fish?
Ocean free brand seems to be Sodium Thiosulphate. Can easily make your own using Sodium Thiosulphate crystals dissolved in bottled distilled water.
Seachem powder products I observe have a strong hydrochloric mixed ammonia smell, I wonder if these are the active ingredients.
What other anti-chlorine and anti-chloramine products do you use?
For me, if change less than 10% I don't dose any anti chlorine stuff. But depends on fish type. ;-)

I've used api stresscoat, api tap water conditioner, nutrifin, all of those worked. but after using prime I realised it's actually more cost efficient so im sticking to that for now.
Just went to get seachem prime.

Most anti-chlorine/chloramine treatments are "reducers", which means that along with their intended effects, they also reduce oxygen levels in the water too... at normal dosage though, the effect on oxygen levels is usually negligible.
But if its very heavily overdosed, and if the tank is heavily stocked or not well oxygenated, then there is a chance the oxygen levels in the tank may drop too low and the fauna may be short of oxygen.
Some aquarists with particularly sensitive fishes or shrimps take additional precautions, so they either increase surface agitation in their tanks or run an airstone in their buckets for a while when doing water changes.
Gotten aqua conditioner Seachem Prime. 1st time perform a large amt of water change.
