I managed to see a few larvae, they are about 1mm. How long do they take to grow to 1cm?

Does it need freshwater or brackish water to be hatched?

Congrats! I don't have any personal experience as mine have not even berried yet. From what I read in another forum, it takes about 2 weeks for the larvae to turn into mini shrimps.

These guys grow really slowly. My first and latest batch of shrimplets are 3 months old now. Took about a month for them to change from free-floating larvae to shrimplets. In the past two months they've grown to about 0.6 cm-ish.

Great! How long do you have to wait for your first batch?

When I got my shrimp they weren't exactly large themselves. Most of them were below a cm. it'd been about half a year before these tiny buggers popped up, I even thought they were mosquito larvae initially!

Thanks Draka. I have 20+ in my 10 litre tank for about 3 months. Guess I have to be more patient before I could see any eggs.
