Platy fries, self bred

Now all fries dead. 2 days die 20 fries![]()
Whats your fry tank size, filtration, feeding and water change regimen?

15cm tank , change water daily or every 2 days 50%
feed fry powder
Okay, from my experience breeding livebearers... ideally for around 20 fry, you should use a larger tank, preferably something at least 10-15 liters (even better if can be larger), that would provide more water volume to slow down the toxic levels building up. Although not necessary, its still better to have a seasoned sponge filter in the tank so that the established beneficial bacteria can process the waste and help keep the parameters stable.
If no filter is used and the tank is very small, then water changes should be done daily at 70-80% amount to constantly remove accumulated toxic levels in the tank and keep the water clean.
The fry may look small and might seem like they don't produce much waste, but in fact they do produce quite alot of waste from their constant poo, pee and respiration... and in a small filter-less tank that is fed daily with powder food that breaks down very quickly, it gets dirty and the toxic levels build up very fast. Do remember that fry are much more sensitive than adult fishes so you need to keep the water as clean as possible for them.
Basically the better your fry grow-out tank conditions are, the higher the survival rate.![]()

Larger volume of water and sponge filter help as UA pointed out. Do not overlook the water temperature and parameter when large volume of water change is made. I would not change water at least for the first 5 days to let the fry fully develop their lung and use drip at 1 drop per second for WC. Can speed up the drip rate when the fry grow stronger. Hope this help.

Were the fries "delivered" in the 15cm tank or moved in after birth?

15cm tank moved in after birth
how to stack up 2 12litre tanks as I don't have desk space?

But if I leave them in parents tank what's the chances they survive without being eaten up?
You'll just have to figure out a way... honestly, if you have limited desk space, do re-consider keeping and breeding live-bearers as you'll need to house the growing population as it increases. 12 liter tanks are already considered too small for adult platys anyways.
If you don't have much space, then stick to the smaller fish species like boraras or even just shrimps, they stay small at only 2+ cm size each and a group of them will do much better in a 12 liter tank, compared to the much larger live-bearers like platys.![]()
When you transfer, the sudden change of parameters affect the fries.
