Apistogramma ID please

Just bought my very first pair. Can anyone experienced in apistogrammas help me with the ID of this species? Also, is this male or female?

James, the condition of the fish is quite bad or it is too stress. However see the marking on the body could be a A. Baeschi aka Inka. Definitely a fish from njisenni family. Picture cannot tell gender need another better picture.

Thanks for the information Joopsg. How do you tell if the apisto is in bad shape or stress?

I had the hardest time trying to take a picture with its dorsal fin up and when I finally did I couldn't upload it. Its dorsal fin looks short just like the other one that came with it and also some bullying going on when ever they get close to each other. Which makes me think they could be same gender.

Is it normal for the male to be attacking the female?

Clamp fin and stress coloration. If you want to take a better photo, can try to use a mirror to make it flare at its reflection.

When male ready to breed, will chase female. However some sub dominant male will be in female dressing to prevent aggression. We consider them as sneaker male.

Water seems okay. Ph 6.4 and ammonia at 0. Water temperature 26c

The eye of the fish look kind of sad.. take good care of it... Hope to see it brilliant color soon.
