Why use chemical to drop pH?

I got one bottle of aqumedi ph minus from Y618, intend to use it to adjust WC ph. Never use this before, is this aqumedi chemical safe for apisto ? Anyone use it before?

Well, if it is safe, then this method is the fastest and easy way to lower pH.
One of my tank substrate is sand, and the other tank is not so effective in lowering pH.

Consider use peat. My adoketa tank is ADA aquasoil top up with sudo Cory sand. Filtration is canister ehiem 2215 with peat.

I am using peat also. However, i am dont using any cannister filter, kind of lazy to filter the water.
Peat is slowly dropping ph. However when i change new set of peat need to monitor.
