Looks like the emersed rounded leaf form of Hemianthus micranthemoides (aka HM)... the new leaf growth will eventually convert to submersed form, which are narrow in shape.

Some reference from Tropica website (it shows photos of the emersed version in pot and submersed version in aquarium): http://tropica.com/en/plants/plantde...des(048A)/4476

    Hi there,

Thanks for the information, as for the long strand that is behind, initially I was looking for hair grass. But only managed to get this similar one that is with a brown tip.

The ones behind look like emersed hairgrass... the brown tips are characteristic of its emersed form. They will also convert to submersed form after some time too.

    Cheers!
I've kept Barcopa monnieri before and it has longer thicker oval leaves with darker green color (just do a google image search on it and you can see what that plant actually looks like), the ones in your tank don't look like it.

I guess you'll just have to monitor how it grows out and see if it converts to submersed form or stays the same, then you can ID it with more accuracy. My earlier ID is just a guess too as it could be another plant species (there are quite a few stem plants with similar leaf shape), have to observe further.
