Get Hikari algae wafers. In my experience, tetras don't go after those.

rest assure that shrimps can find their own food, savaging from the stuff left behind by the fishes
but if the situation is when they starts munching on your precious plants then algae waffer will defintely satisfy their appetite

Trying sinking pellets for bottom feeding fish if you want to pamper your shrimps with some "meat" instead of just "veggie".
I am feeding hikari algae wafers too. But mine is in a shrimp tank of their own, breeding like mad.

i feed my shrimps with hikari algae wafers, will also drop extra crushed pellets, bloodworms at their "territory". sometimes will drop blanched pitted cucumber slices and boiled, softened carrots too![]()
I fed them with flakes and sometimes with hikari algae wafer..
However, i notice they don't usually eat the wafer.
I've tried feeding them with hikari crab meal. It is a sinking small pellet.
I think the nutritional requirement for shrimp and crabs should be quite similar.
Cheers :P
