    Just wanted to check.
    Would SAE or OTO eat baby shrimp?
    Some of my newly hatched one disapeared...

    Oto will not eat shrimplets, their mouths are a rasping type, not designed for catching prey.

    On the otherhand, SAE could eat shrimplets, their mouths are able to catch food pellets and daphnia from the water column (thats what my SAE love to do)... basically they are just like normal fishes.

    Now i hope the SAE will die ==!
    My shrimplets just hatched 2 days ago .
    Hopefully they are hiding well...

    Yeah, thats the tricky part about SAE, they are great for handling filamentous and brush algae, but once they discover fish food and shrimplets they will tend to go for them too.

    I guess its just a matter of how much hiding places there are for the shrimplets to stay under cover, long enough until they grow larger and become no longer seen as food anymore.
