There other day I was re-scaping my tank and found that this plant also propagate by "rhizome splitting" like Echinodorus sp. sometimes do. i.e. one plant becomes 2 or 3 of the same size at the base. This is nice so I can thin down the plant by keeping one.

The other method of propagation is by seeds. The seeds are black in colour. So sometimes I see small B.aubertii sprouting from some parts of my tank.

If anyone is interested in this plant, can PM me. I also posted in the marketplace a few days back.

No. It doesn't branch off new plants like B.japonica. It stays a solitary plant long term. Very manageable but quite large.
It's found locally in our reservoirs and catchment areas as well.
