Just wondering if it is a good idea to have Apistos & shrimps in a planted tank?

    At the moment,
have 3 Apistos in my 3.5 ft tank,
which has a couple of Yamatos, 2 cherry shrimps (can only see 2 from an initial group of 10) 3 wood shrimps, quite a bit of Malayan shrimps.
Am thinking of adding another pair of apistos.

So far have not 'caught' any of the apistos eating the shrimps, but who know what happens when my back is turned.

Bad idea, I've first hand experience of my agasizzi eating up half of my Yamatos before I knew what was happening. Caught it one day with a Yamato in it's mouth.

they can reduce the yamato to bite size. I always observe my apisto to have attacked the shrimp's legs before eating them

No shrimps with apistos unless you want to feed them.

Apistos could even eat wood shrimps. And wood shrimps are much larger than yamatos. -.-
