Welcome Aboard
Hello there everyone- its nice to be here. I'm pretty interesting in the trading forums(as most of you guys are Singaporeans) so its easier to get stuff around here. Also, here's some info about me. I started getting into the aquatic hobby when I went on a fish-releasing-into-the-reservoirs thing held by the government many years ago. This lead me to being more interested in rearing and creating natural habitats for where the fish originally lived in. Now, I am earning the money and knowledge needed to keep such tanks, but I also hope that you all can give me some tips for fish-keeping.
Currently I have an invertebrate tank full of Dwarf shrimp and Nerite snails(plus a pair of nano fish). My goal in the future is to be able to own a tank of each aquatic habitat. Etc. Blackwater, Brackish, African Congo, Hardscape, 'Heavily-Planted' and so on.
PS:: I have one question to ask though. When setting up a brackish water habitat- I know that you need to add salt in the water. However, I have experienced salt eroding and spoiling my plastic tank base. I already threw away the spoilt tank of course, so what kind of tank can prevent such erosion from happening? Do glass tanks work? If so, is there any specific brand type or are all glass tank salt-erosion free?
