I guess one of the most popular compact red leaved stem plant nowadays is Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini'... can try that for the mid-ground.
hi all,
this is my 4th time rescaping my tank in nearly 5 years. 1st time was i was keeping shrimps. 2nd time was due to algae boom i decided to rescape after 6 months.
3rd time was kept for 2 years before i decided to rescape again. All was done before CNY (got excuse from my "command officer" as CNY approaching so need to spring clean).
so now i need some recommendations for my new tank. I had been keeping crypto, glosso, HC, a new steam plants in my previous scapes.
Now i decided to go with monte carlos, UG, buceps, dwarf hairgrass and Mini fissidiens (to cover branches of my driftwood). Mostly i will be getting them from AA (Hortilab products). Now i need recommendations for my midground / background. Anyone can recommend mid height red steam plants (10-15cm)? or anymore other plant recommendations?
Basically, my tank are covered with black larva rocks and white sands on 1 side, so i have only 2/3 or the tank dimension to play with.
Tank - 2ftx2ftx1.5ft
CO2 - yes
No chiller / No Fan
LED lights - 6.5k
hopefully some gurus are are able to advise me.

AR Mini as suggested by UA is a great choice.
My two personal favourite plants are Pogostemon Helferi and the Needle Leaf Java fern. Can also go for the Windelov variant as it is very easy to care for.
