Hi all, just found that my solenoid valves stop working, no more click sound when power on, bubble not coming out. I'm thinking to replace the electronic portion of it. The regulator is still working fine.

Any idea where to buy the replacement part? I can only find Wyin and Dici brand from taobao.

If it's not cheap then maybe I will just get a second hand set, or do without solenoid. Thanks in advance.

    Well, I'm answering to myself.
Manage to get a replacement solenoid from taobao, there's no 1/8 size, so bought the 1/4 then add reducer. Just installed and tested. Seems to be working fine, shall monitor and see.

Yup, the 1/4" solenoid valve + 2pcs 1/4" to 1/8" reducer + shipping. The regulator not included. Although there are many good reviews on the taobao seller, and solenoid valve structure is quite simple, but not sure how reliable is it. Shall monitor and see....

Can I ask how you found out if your regulator is 1/4 or 1/8

I read that most co2 regulator used for planted tank is 1/8", you can measure the Outer diameter using ruler to confirm as well.

No problem. I bought the solenoid valve from here, and use back my old power cable. http://detail.m.tmall.com/item.htm?i...62&toSite=main

Wow thanks for the advice and guidance. Is it easy to fit the wire into the new solenoid? Haven't done something like that before. Thanks!

It's quite simple. Separate the electronic (coil) from manifold. Open up the plastic casing. There are 2 screws that holding the cables. Just take a picture or remember the connection of existing solenoid, put it back accordingly on new solenoid.
