    Hello hobbyists

I've noticed for the last couple of days that my ANS CO2 Solenoid which is fixed to a timer continues to release CO2 bubbles even after the shut off period. I have tried switching off the power and yet the CO2 bubbles continue to be bubbling at the rate I have set. I have also tried changing timer and even connect the ANS socket directly to the mains without success. Is my Solenoid confirmed spoiled or there is way to fix it?

Re: ANS CO2 Solenoid cannot be shut off.

It works using electro magnetics. Power off, a sprimg closes tbe valve. Power on: electro-magmet pulls the valve open for gas to flow.

If it won't shut off without power, it isn't the electrical part that's faulty. Its the sprimg and valve.

As an interim solution, remove the solenoid and reinstall upside down. Sometimes gravity can help the valve close until you get a new one.

You can source for solenoids (without regulator) to replace it. Try asking Chan at NA Nature Aquarium. He used to have. But that was long ago. New sets so cheap these days it might not be worthwhile to just get the solenoid.

Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
