I started a 3ft tank a year ago and I've decided to replant some plants. This is my second attempt on planted tank and I'm still learning the ropes. Some of my plants aren't growing vertically, I'm not sure what type of plant it is but after more than a month, the plant grew slanted instead of upwards. What's the cause of it ? Is it due to the amount of light ? or some other factors ? I'm currently dosing excel. As for planting plants how much space do I have to leave between each stalk ? I did plant some Indian ferns/water sprite which are growing well so far but I'm unsure if the space between each stalk is adequate. Side track abit, may I know when will Y618 be stocking up moss in loose form? Many thanks.

Do you have light shining in from other areas of the room? Like from a window or corridor? Sometimes if the additional light source is strong enough, plants will naturally grow towards it. I've seen that effect in some of my tanks before, especially those positioned close to a window.

To solve it you'll just have to shade the windows or put something to block the extra light from shining into the tank.

As for spacing between plants, best if you can leave 2-3cm between stem plants (depending on leaf size, larger leaves just give more spacing, and vice versa), it will help avoid too much overcrowding and shading of the bottom leaves.

For stocking of moss in loose form at Y618, it can be abit random depending on supply availability, best to just call them to check stock.
