maybe this would help? http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...-what-s-wrong-!
Hello, I have almost 0 knowledge about water plants, but I am studying them in a laboratory, so I have acess to nutrients, chemicals, light, etc.
Right now my plants are in a bucket in half strengh hoagland solution, no CO2 or agitation.
Duckweed seems to be adapting but it was a very light green colour.
And my ceratophyllum was only in tapped water and it melted. If i put the stems in nutrient solution will it grow again?
i hope you can help me
best regards

Yeah I started reading that but it is not clear if the plant can grow again after it split its leafs. or if I shoudl just buy new ones![]()
If the remaining stems after melting is still hard, new leaf shoots should emerge over time. If the stems turn soft, the plant is dying and better to throw it away and buy new ones. Hope this helps
sounds similar to terrestrial plants then. soft stem = rot
Yes, very much
