    Hi guys,

I am just wondering on the effect of bioload on the increase of algae.

From the pictures I have seen of Amano's tank, his bioload always seems to be much much higher than the recommended 1 inch / gallon. Anyone has done a test on how much is the limit before the water condition become prone to algae attack for heavily planted tanks

Or bioload has no effect on algae as long as the critters looks fine and the plants are growing well?

Asking this question because i have tried many ways (CO2, dosing and water changes) but algae problem is still persistent, I am starting to wonder if it is my bioload....

    Anyway here's my tanks biostats
    2Ft
    10 cardinal
    10 lamp eyes
    2 chocolate gouramis
    5 otos
    15 yamato
3 baby platies (growing past fry size to small size.... but parents died)
1 rose barb (the rest have an unfortunate accident..., but that's another story)

I think I have a grossly overcrowded tank... sigh..... All critters are fine and plants are doing well except for algae. Black fuzz algae, green fur algae and the feared BBA are all present, although they have not overrun the tank, they are popping up here and there, especially the driftwood.....
