Today I brought my gf empty CO2 cylinder to pasir ris farm hoping to get a one to one exchange for it but when i got to the shop next to Ah Pek's, the lady told me that they will not do an exchange due to the fact that the knob at the top belongs to this brand named "Adec". She said there has been quite a few cases that these knobs leaked CO2 after refilling. After this I went to another shop and the other boss told me the same thing. He said the leak will be from the screw thred below the knob and it cannot be repaired. I am not trying to discourage you guys from getting this brand but you might want to give it a second thought or do a thorough check before purchasing if you want to avoid this prob. Anyway tomorrow I'll be going to BIOPLAST to do a refill to see if mine will leak(hope not). In addition to the above info, if you want to change the knob it will cost about $40.

This morning I just went to Bioplast to fill up my CO2 tank. Upon seeing the cylinder the boss said that he would do a test for leak before he'll fill it up for me(seems like everyone knows about it except me . Luckily my cylinder is ok and I got it refilled. There was a customer there and he told me to get those cylinders which are black and white in colour as they are certified by soxal. I have one of those cylinders at home and apparently soxal doesn't do refilling for it stating that it does not match the safety standards. Now i have a question does anyone knows where the shops and farms send our cylinders for safety testings if requested? thanks.
