Thanks for sharing... No.1 looks very Taiwan style... But compared to No.7, prefer no.1...![]()

Interesting. Last year's #1 from Korea also has stone columns.
Perhaps it's this kind of originality that pushed up the rankings?![]()
koah fong
Juggler's tanks

Thinking of they are using this to get the inspiration.

I think the judges' decision are swayed to the replicability of a certain landscape. But when you come to think of it, isn't it weird to have flying fishes over the mountains![]()
I still prefer a more traditional approach of simulating real or at least near real life underwater.

I think the fishes just acting like flying birds.Originally Posted by wong1979

however, given the benefit of hindsight, seems like past two years, the grand prize winners were bold in using vertical lines and rocks.

any idea wat are the plants used for both setups,
looks like glosso and pellia to me?
any idea
i'm ADDicted to this wonderful hobby

Don't know why will be in next year setup. Perhaps, back to wood again?
taz_boy, the first tank using mini pelia on the rock. and HC for foreground. The rest...i got no idea.

for the 1st tank, i think he is like thinking of trees. like a forest layout? then those fishes as birds in the forest? and the valley for the depth

If he was thinking of trees, then I think no.7 achieved the tree look better imho.
But the red spot he put there is unique though. I didn't notice it at first... then I spotted it when someone mentioned it on another forum.
I can't wait to see the rest of the tanks.![]()

i like no.7 very much. A very unique aquascape with a cosy feel.
