    Hi guys,

i just bought a small bottle today and was wondering if it was stale... can it even go stale?

Anyway, for people that use this..can you pls tell me if its black in colour?? and has a funky smell?? i just thought this was weird since i am used to using the clear red LGA stuff.. thanks.

OH..yea.. and also Does any one out there know where i can get the BIG bottles of this?? it seems like people only carry the 250ml ones.. i want to get a 1litre or 2litre bottle..

    Thanks!

    Hi Ranma,
Flourish is that colour and I think the smell is something like 'menthol' right? Mine's the same, got the big bottle from C328, but gotta be fast, she bring in 1 or 2 bottle only everytime. Try tuesday's morning.

Mine used to smell like soya sauce. I've read posts by Seachems boss on other forums/mailing lists and emailed Seachem before.

    - The formulation should not spoil.
    - Different batches have different colours/smell.
    - Sedimentation is normal. (Shake before you use.)
    - Refridgeration is to prevent fungal growth (If there is fungus, skim it off and use as per normal)
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.

That's weird. The last time when I was using it, it was brown in colour and does bear the smell of soya sauce like Vinz mentioned. You can email Greg Morin of Seachem or their staff to verifiy if your product is fine or not.

    Yokogi,

There are several Flourish products... we are talking about Flourish (without any sub-product name), the main product in the Flourish line.

    There is also:
    Flourish Iron - Reddish
Flourish Excel - source of carbon, I think it's clear/colourless, a bit sweet smelling
    Flourish Nitrogen - Clear/colourless (I think)
    Flourish Phosphorus - Clear/colourless (I think)
    Flourish Potassium - Clear/colourless (I think)
    Flourish Trace
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.

Ya mine is the one w/o sub-product name.

This is interesting.......i'll try take pix n upload here.

BTW the Seachem Phosphorous supposed to be clear & transparent too. Mine started to have some sediments like milky stuff at the bottom after afew use. I'm now using a replacement bottle from the LFS. The 1st bottle i got smells awful and has LOTS of milky stuff in it.

I managed to get a replacement becos the LFS disagree that the 1st bottle is contaminated. He opened every single bottle on the spot and all turned out the same. Afterwhich i believe he got new replacements from the supplier for that batch.

Maybe its a new formulation of Seachem Flourish... both Peter and I used Flourish when it came in a black bottle with green label. The new Flourish bottle is white.

Acutally, just email Seachem whenver you have a question. My home-mixed KH2PO4 solution also turns milky after some time. So far it works fine.
