    Hi Guys( and Girls),

I ahave a 4x2x2 that is heavily planted.I am dosing E.I. method but am finding it very expensive to use Flourish and flourish iron .Here in Perth( west Australia) its $40 nearly a bottle and its doesnt last all that long with regular dosing. Is there a alternative to either of them? I cant keep asking a friend to bring my ferts back from singapore( i like the friendship dont want it to end ).
I am guessing i would be looking at PMDD, is that correct? How would i go about getting usable iron into the tank?

    Thanks in advance

    Graeme( perth wa)

You can try Dr Mallick at http://www.SingaporeHydroponics.com/
Check one item called Rexolin APN. It is powder form which you need to mix with 1 litre water. Contains traces. No macros. I used it to replace my Lushgro Micros (also from them). He should be able to arrange shipping to you. For AUD$40, you can probabaly order a few packs plus shipping.
You should be able to find macros like K2SO4, KNO3, KH2PO4 over there? Or else can order from Dr Mallick too.

Or else search through the buy/sell forum for some folks who sells traces/ macros. They may have too.

I used to dose the Rexolin over a year (very cheap) but I don't see any improvement in my tank , as I am still tuning my CO2 system in the tank. Now I switched over to Profito Easylife (trace), with 5L cost around SGD$80 only.

Honestly by looking at the characteristics of the Rexolin and Profito , they looks the same (I am speculation here) :

    a) color
    b) type of residue form, and overtime will condence and harden below. Need to shake very hard before use.

Brianclaw: thanks for noticing. I corrected my post.

Neon: I used to dose Lushgro Micros/Aqua. Switched to Rexolin APN as it is more economical. Tank still doing the same.

Agreed. Now I have to finish my 5L profito before going back to Rexolin to try it again. Also , let my current tank BBA problem stabilize first.
