I'm also using this inline diffusor. Looked el-cheapo what with the tacky plastic, poor injection moulding etc. Having said that, I have also not washed it since 1.5 years ago and it is still going well, no choke as advertised on the box. I moved it from the intake hose of the cannister filter to the outlet hose to get the CO2 mist effect and still I get fine bubbles, but I notice tht the diffusor works better with a higher current flow. There's a china made one for a fraction of the price and not much worse build quality.
