Crank the CO2.
I'll take 4-8 stems of hairs and plant then about 1" apart.
It's an easy plant once it starts growing, it'll take 2 weeks or so before you see it really take off, so be patient and make sure there is good CO2.

Hi,
How do you maintain hairgrass ideally?
I tore up pieces of hairgrass patch and stuck them into my ADA soil. Don't know if this is the right way.
