i do remember coming across a thread which mention an additive that can bring the PH down and not colour the water. - something from dennerle? very expensive stuff too...
so if you just want to bring down the PH you can try the other method like adding some chemicals. like the way people do the EI method.

but i'm afraid all blackwater extract or formulas will turn the water at least yellowish.

William, never heard of any extract that doesn't turn the water black or brown for that matter.

try ph down lor i dun think there is black water but not tat black

i am using tr7 from dennerlle. 5ml treats 200l..value for $ and it does not color the water.
