Get a 5L CO2 cylinder with [JBJ] solanoid regulator if your budget permits. This will save you from frequent refilling and also from the trouble of turning on and off the valve manually.
Agreed with Bro AquaObsession...also if ur tank is 4th n above...u might want to consider getting a splitter at the sametime...not a must as it also depend on what kind of plant u intend to grow also.
For good or for ill, I will walk on the path chosen by none but myself.
N.A..Thomson road...opposite thomson medical centre...look for MR. CHAN..Originally Posted by stephen chung

I was at NA this afternoon. I ask the lady boss there and she doesn't seems to be too helpful. I saw the JBJ solanoid regulator. Looks a bit cannot make it ley.
Might get 1 of those pnumatic brand 1...
Ok..I'll look for Mr. Chan when I goes there the next time.
Thanks guys
Basically, in the hobby, there are only a couple of brands (JBJ, UP and one other don't what brand) unlike the industrial types...
JBJ as suggested in probably the better ones, other than UP, among the limited few... But if using your job experience, you can get an industrial standard one and still fit the CO2 tank, think it would be good...
JBJ looks tacky but is an acceptable standard for a cheap solenoid regulator.Originally Posted by stephen chung
For really nice ones, look for brands like Dennerle or Bioplast.

stephen, like we've stress earlier. You must look for MR CHAN![]()
Once again guys... Thank you very much..
Oh..I notice there are 2 meters on the regulator. I think 1 is for the cylinder pressure. So, what is the other one for?

The one on the left is for cylinder pressure, the one on the right shows output pressure.
JBJ is a perfectly fine solenoid, I use one myself![]()
OK...Thanks for the info again.

bioplast regulator allows you to set the output pressure.
don't forget to get a needle valve as well. without this, you'll be tearing your hair out trying to control co2 bubble rate.

I went to Eco Aquatic at Lim Tao Dao (need to Upper serangoon). Saw a JBJ set selling for abt $220..
Is it too ex?? comes with a 3.6L tank

does the set consists of needle valve and solenoid valve?
just to give you a rough estimate for bioplast system consisting of co2 regulator, solenoid valve and needle valve ~$270+.
steel cylinder is cheaper, maybe 1/2 of an equivalent aluminium cylinder. aluminium cylinder (lighter and looks nicer) would cost ~$100++ depending on size.

It comes with a 3.6L cylinder, a 2 gauge regulator, a needle valve, bubble counter and some tubings..
Where can you get the bioplast system? Don't tell me NA again...
