As it is at a fraction of the price of pressurized CO2 in a cylinder, it can appeal to a targetted group of hobbyists (eg, beginners or not-so-financially-abled) who want to experience injecting CO2 into their tanks. Very often, these hobbyists have smaller tanks and are not ready to invest yet.

From our experience, we were able to convince the more serious ones to upgrade to the cylinders. They would have read about the positive effects of constant CO2 at AQ or we will help direct them here.

In summary, these products do help to provide some convenience and CO2, even though their contents do not last very long. We agree that they are a packaged DIY method, which some us have been there using yeast before.

    Regards
