OOOOOOooooo! Very nice. One week and the hairgrass covered the entire ground? Or you planted them? Must be back breaking if it is so.

Very nice and simple, hairgrass is very nice to use and a challenge to plant.
Really brightens the foreground. I'd put some small rocks to border the HG and MM at the base. Red lava rock may look good.

Hey, very nice. Amazing progress after only one week. The hair grass looks so lush.

Is it a tank for fish or shrimps?

Had quite an amount of hairgrass to start with. Took a long time planting.

Blast the tank with lots of CO2 and fert. Did daily water changes and the growth was good. Better than expected.

Was actually looking for small rocks but couldn't find any so I made do with the pieces of bogwood.

    Specs as follow

    30 cm cube
    ADA Africana Powder
    ADA powersand S
    72 watt T-5
    CO2 3 -4 bps
    EI method of dosing
    Temp 26 - 28 degree
8 clown killies at the moment

Really like the result i get from using ADA, the only exception is downoi, I can never get it to grow on ADA substrate.

I like the simple set up.

What fishes are being consider for this tank? Would be interesting to see final result as well. Keep us posted.

    Cheers,

    Hi Jeff,

Sometimes you just got to search around. You can try NA. HE do carries some small Bog wood.

Somtimes you might just need to saw the wood.

Fishes - Considering either red ruby tetra or one of the boraras species.
The downoi always melt in my tank with ADA soil.
As for the driftwood, I cut them from larger pieces and place them in the tank. The mass of MM camouflage the fact that the wood is not a single piece.
    Thanks for all the comments.
