    Hi,

Does it look "hairy", if it is, it may be BBA.

Probably because nanas are slower than ferns. I think that's the reason the hobby is moving towards concentrating on plant growth for algae control! [that would be credited to Mr. Tom Barr!]

Too blur boss. Your camera focus on background. Try to put your camera further away from the subject and snap.

    Two ways: preventive and destruction.

Prevention I assume you know very well already. Destruction-wise, take the plant out if you can, and put it in a container of water and overdose excel.

Otherwise overdose excel twice into your tank, or spot inject excel on the affected areas. I prefer spot injecting.

You can buy a syringe at any pharmacy in Singapore, and attach a short length of airline tubing to it. Use it to suck up some Excel, and inject it near the BBA-infected areas. The brief contact of concentrated Excel is enough to turn the BBA white 1 day later.

I would suggest you put SAE(siamese algae eater). These fishes are tried and tested with this kind of algae(BBA).also check your CO2,because in my experience I only got BBA attacks when my CO2 supply runs out for a long period of time.hope this helps.

Try to grow the Anubias under shade of another plant too. It's a slow grower. A little extra light attracts algae to the leaves. Mine growing in low light and with shade over it displayed nice jade colour leaves.

Meanwhile, you can read this article for more info and treatment: http://www.aquaticscape.com/articles/algae.htm

Anubias is hardy. So maybe you can try the bleach treatment as well. Just remember to wash thoroughly when putting back to tank.

    Good luck!
