3ft non-CO2 tank. Need scaping tips!
How can I create a focal point with the current 'furniture'?
Should I add a large rock?

    Bogwood made the difference

    Hi,
I would recommended that you add some large bogwoods to create a nice lake view.

    Thanks and regrds,

Some thin and tall driftwood should add more interest to the aquascape.
    Or have some background plants?

Quite nice for a non-co2 tank, good effort!
Is that E.tenellus on the front, very nice with the tips red.

The focal point is already there, the central large clump of C.Wendtii

Having said that, it's a little too central, so perhaps a good horizontally-branched wood placed to the left of it in that "empty" pocket there will complement it and bring the focal point off center.

hmm, seems like the general consensus is that I should add more wood yeah? Looks like I have to go source for some nice looking one already... actually there are 2 pcs of brancy bogwood on the left side of the tank but they are all blocked by the plants, will it be better to remove the plants to see more of the wood?

koolman> what is a lake view?

richie> thanks for the compliment! but guess i need to start dosing co2 to make it better huh... haha and yup, e.tenellus on the front, only those that are directly exposed to the lights have red tips (recently, someone in the forum was selling e.tenellus from japan with really red tips, are they of a different strain?)

squee> actually i was thinking of moving the clump of wendtii to the rightside back corner of tank to create a 'forest' with the other crypts... advisable?

once again, thank you all for your precious input!

    Lake view

    Hi,
My assumption of lakeview is to create a tank that look like a lake.. Hope you will post more picture of your tank in future and keep us posted of your tank setup.

    Thanks and regards,

    Koolman

My opinion, too bring out the wood's look, slap on some moss, maybe christmas or anchor so the wood does not lose its shape..

AND..maybe consider CO2, feel the tank will really do very well with CO2 injection..
