Nice! I like the second one. Any recent pictures to share?

These pics are all of the same 4x1.5x1.5 tank which I was keeping in 2003-2004. I sold off the tank in 2005, in order to leave more time for wedding preps. Now I'm married and have a kid, I think I may be able to free up some time to restart my hobby!

My setup, if I recall properly, comprised a 5l co2 with solenoid @ 2-3 bps, 2x30w FL (front) and 4x36W PL (rear), 2 canister filters (some Taiwanese make, one was an Atman, another a Jebao) and water temp was maintained at 27-28 deg thru the use of 2 5-inch cooling fans. Of course, Dr Mallick's macros and micros were dosed adequately.

I miss having a planted tank to take up my weekends

Digging up these pics I saw once again how my tenellus, oriental and microsorum were growing well. *sigh* The red lotus was a beauty too, FOC from a fellow forummer here.

I'm targeting a Juwel Rio 180 by the end of this year. May have to work with room temp plants (27-29 deg) as I don't have space for a chiller. Does anyone here know the rough cost of a Rio 180 with filter and stand? Brand-new, please. I'll need to start from scratch. All I've got left is a 5l co2 with solenoid and a 3.5l co2 with manual valve.

Welcome back to the hobby!! It's always nice to see returning members!

You might want to reconsider your preference of the Juwel Rio 180. A closed tank like that is not exactly ideal for a planted setup. There are actually many nice setup these days that you can customised to your preference.

I'll drop by eco-culture one of these days and see what Azmi has to offer. I've been out of the hobby for so long, I didn't even know he re-opened his shop elsewhere!

Used to get my supplies from his Eminent Plaza shop...
