Queries about knee surgery

It is been one long year...yup..decided to go under the knife to get my knee problem sorted out once and for all... some of you may know I twisted my knee darn bad one week prior to Singapore's 41st Birthday.. A year has since passed...since then my knee joint been rather unstable, hence little or no outdoor activities for me..

So one year on...I decided to get it fixed for good..Been trying to google information but not to much help..

1. any idea what's the bill size?
2. The amount of time needed to regain total mobility
3. Any good recommendation for surgeons?
4. Any other good info appreciated..

it all depends to the exend of your injury. I had both knees operated on this year in jan and again in May and i am now 80% mobile. The bill is FOC cos i claim workman compensation(injured at work) but the rough bill is about $3000 to $4000. For surgeons, you may want to try Associate Profeessor James Hui Po Po of NUH. All in all, i was warded in NUH for about 2 days with physio every other day for 2 months and i can walk relatively normal. My injury is Knee cap dislocated for both knees since 1999 due th Army Half Marathon.

no lah... It's just that he did my knees and now they are okay. Very professional guy. Always got SWT around him

IMHO, surgery in Singapore is quite expensive. but you should not avoid going to the docs if you want to get well and fit again, unless you can live with your injury. My advise, better fix up yourself early when you are young and your body is able to heal better. Sooner the better. If you wait, GST up, living cost up, medical bills up, etc... Meanwhile, take care dude.
