1 of my white cloud minnow also chase the others around but never trap them in a corner..
Hi guys, I've just purchased 5 white mountain cloud minnows for my nano 23cm tank.
After acclimatizing them to the tank, that was when things started to go a little wrong...
1 of the little buggers think that he's the alpha male, and start chasing everyone else into a tiny corner.
He then proceeded to snap at them whenever they even come out.
I mean like, what is going on? I thought these fish were schoolers!
Any solutions?

Even in schooling fishes, there can be established hierarchy within them.
If this is a real problem, consider housing them with lots and lots of plants so that the line of sight is broken, or in a much larger tank where there is a lot more swimming space for the fishes.
If all fails, ask the LFS where you got them to see if you can exchange it for another.
Perhaps I'll buy more of these fish. Like 3 more to form a very small school. Maybe 5 isn't critical number yet.
Aquarium "school" bully!? I think you can isolate that little fellow and allow the rest of the fish to establish a new hierarchy among themselves. Hopefully when you re-introduce the "bully", it will feel out of place from hierarchy and be a little more placid and submissive.

I got 4 more minnows and all is well. Apparently there needs to be a minimum school size about 8-9 fish...
