Any water being circulated across the chiller into the pail during the testing? You didn't mention using any pump to push the water into the chiller.
hey guys, just got a 2nd chiller and tested it out with a bucket of water.
after running the chiller for 5 mins, the temperature didn't even drop a degree.
i decided to open up the chiller to see what was wrong.
on the whole everything looks alright.
after switching on, the chiller runs and the pipes got cold so i thought it was normal. but after awhile, the pipes got frozen.
(the white colour part)
an overview of where the part that was frozen.
i thought it was normal so i went to open up my existing chiller and found that the part was not meant to be frozen.
so i presume the pipes are clogged or jammed.
anyone has any idea what is wrong with this chiller?
can clear the pipes or have to bring for servicing?
thanks.
hope to hear from you guys soon, so i can fix it.

yup. tried with and without pump.
also used external thermometer to test water temperature but didnt change.

Not sure if this will help..My air-con contractor once told me regarding aircon unit, if the air-con fluid is too low, the pipes will freeze up and will eventually damage the compressor. Since the chiller works along the same principle as a air conditioner, it might be a similar issue. Maybe can get to some chiller technician to check on the fluid level. Hope this helps.
