    Hi,

    Thinking of upgrading my 4ft planted lights from 04x36w 6500k PL(Ocean free casing) + 02x 30W FL(01x 6500k & 01x gro-lux together in another Ocean free casing) to 08x 36w 6500k PL.

Any suggestions? or shld i just replace my 02x FL with good plant lites like Dennerle or smthg? cos i'm in a ditch now. i want to have good spread of my lighting but all my 4 PL are in 1 casing.

shld i vhange the FL to PL or shld i just save the money and get the CO2 system instead? cost-benefit anyone?

btw, i keep H.Polysperma, dwarf swords, red arrowheads and no base fert or CO2 cos i need to save up for the CO2 set. currently dosing with Seachem flourish and Oceanfree super Root monster.

    thx[]

I won't be too worried for your lites if I were you. You should invest in a CO2 set to get the plants growing. Co2 is equally important compared to lites as it is all about balance. With so much lights and no Co2, the plants won't do well. In fact, the only thing will thrive maybe if your algae.

    Juz my 2 cents worth

BTW, I think your lighting is sufficient enuff at the moment.
    Cheers!!

    I concur.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Wow -- that's a lot of lights. You plant list doesn't look so light-demanding. So don't worry too much about it. My current 4x1.5x1.5 tank has only 4x36W PL. Too much PL lighting and you need a fan or chiller to keep the water temp down.
