I need to take abroad an external filter (to a place that runs on 220 Volt)
    few questions:

    1. if the filter is 110 V (and 60 Hz) and I need to move to a country with 220 Volt (50 Hz). The filter has a mottor, and this is not so good to move fomr 60 to 50 Hz. Any idea ?

    2. Are there places in USA where I can buy canister filter that works on 220 Volt (for exmaple - Eheime is a German Company. it surly makes 220 Volt filters, but how do u get them in the USA).

    tnx

    1. The transormer only solves the problem of 110 to 220 volt.
But what about the problem of 60 Hz vs. 50 Hz. ?

    2. wht about possibility to buy in USA canister filters of 220 V ?

    1. There are transformers that you can buy that do this conversion. Finding them is the problem.

    2. It is possible, but your problem here is also finding them...if you manage to find them..you will be paying much more also. Best chance is to buy one from a place with 220v 50hz system.
