You can get breeding media almost anywhere. All the apisto need is a rough or porous platform for them to lay their adhesive eggs.

They can even lay on glass if no suitable breeding medias are present. In the wild they breed among leaf litters, fallen tree branches, tree roots etc etc.
With all the favorable condition apisto seems not very picky over their spawning site.

During spawning, staring and excess external disturbance might even result in clutch being eaten. Therefore a good enclose one entrance breeding media seems ideal. I'll prefer not to disturb them during their breeding phase. peeking of the clutch seems irresistible but that could put stress on the pair.

I'm not so picky on my breeding media i think it's more for our liking rather then theirs.

My take on breeding tanks are often murky, algae covered, tea black water type of tank instead of the crystal clear water tanks.

A trip to the nearest florist will reward you with new ideas on your next ideal breeding media.
    Cheers!

I think anything made from clay seems to be pretty suitable for breeding media? Since clay are rough and porous.

I like using clay name cardholders from value shop last time. Works equally well.
    Cheers!

Sorry, beside heartland mall, there is a whole stretch, can't really miss it.
Can bypass the first shop, they sell only plastic pots, most of the rest sells clay pots in various design, rocks and sand too

Its an uncle. If you're counting as in the first shop nearest to heartland mall, then it should be the first few shops.

    Bro Andy..

Why dont you buy from Cacatouides instead? IMO.. His breeding caves are very good for breeding as well.. Better than the pots I think..

    Regards
