    Hi all

    I have Eheim installation Kit 2 with the venturi connection. As you can see from the picture, the installation Kit outlet tube is bigger than the 16/22mm hose. I used a bigger hose (not sure the size) and then attached the 16/22mm hose to the venturi. Is there a better way?

    Installation Kit 2 --> Big hose --> 16/22 hose --> venturi

    Thanks

    Do you want the bubble to appear with that connection? I can't see from the picture if the filter is in operation. If you can't get the bubbles, add a small hose line to the venturi until above the water level.

    But if you are thinking of another way to connect the venturi, yours look ok to me.

    There are lots of bubbles already.. the venturi came with hose...Must I place the hose ABOVE the water level?

    it's the connection to the venturi that irritates me. Is there a better way? Is there an accessory that i can buy?

    have you tried putting the 16/22 hose into hot water to soften it before trying to fit it onto the larger hose? alternatively, there are hose reducers that you can buy to connect the bigger hose to the 16/22 one...just have to measure the internal diameter of the large hose to get the right connector.

    just a question about your venturi. since the water is coming out in a concentrated jet, how's the flow in the tank as a whole? is water/co2 well circulated? or is circulation weird because the source is just one really fast stream?

    I was too lazy to soak the hose in hot water.. prob will do so... since the big hose is connected to the 16/22, I supposed that's the same effect as the reducer right?

    water is pretty circulated with the venturi (I think). The stream hits the right glass panel and bounces back.

    The Eheim venturi unit comes in 2 sizes. 12/16 and 16/22 hose size. Looks like you got the wrong size. But no harm really.

    the venturi is the right size. I have no prob connecting the venturi to the 16/22 hose. Its the installation kit 2 that has the problem with 16/22mm

    The end of the installation kit has options for 3 types of connector, including 2 hose size. Make sure you use the right one.

    I don’t use "this" because it’ll jeopardize the canister pump flow. Good only for a power head as its zero hose’s length.
