Farms in the east?

Been planning to make a trip down to the fish farms over the next week to show my foreign fish fanatic friends around who are here in SG to visit and decided to visit the ones in Pasir Ris. Would not be driving hence will do some walking after taking a cab in. Don't wanna kill my friends with the long walks hence decided to skip the sungei tengah area which seemed alot more inacessible due to the fact that the various farms are so far apart from each other!. Any better ideas anyone? I've not been there for years and was unsure as whether to head to the ones in the west or east? From the stickied thread,i only managed to identify 4 of them there.Are there anymore around the area? The ones i spotted are:

Uhm, just be aware, I don't think the list in the thread is being maintained or updated.

But AQ does provide an LFS Directory section listing (it's right at the top if you did not see it), so why don't you try look through them?

Hi Quixotic,thats actually the 1st place i looked!The list reflected only the above mentioned 4 places as well. It's been at least a good 3~5years since i've been there but i do vaguely remember the place having slightly more shops around the area hence the question.Anyone has any idea if there are more farms there that are NOT on the list?

They are all still there except for akhai discus. was there last friday. YOu might also wanna consider seletar farmways where sea view is located. the farms there are also close tol one another.

Thanks for the info altum! So basically i can only expect to find 3 places to visit if i head to Pasir Ris? If so, seletar region more recommended?

depends on what type of fish you going to window shop for, pasir ris at least got 4 discus shop. and alot of tropical fish shop

Hi interestor,that's what i remembered as well! I vaguely remembered more then the above listed shops! Hence i got very puzzled when i compared my mental list with the LFS directory both from here and several local forums. I'm not going for anything specific,just anything related to the aquarium hobby is good? Will jot down the different names later tomorrow when i'm down at the area. Hope my decision to head to Pasir Ris farmway woud prove to be a better choice then the seletar/sungei tengah area!

Im not sure it is on the forums but someone made a sketch of Pasir Ris farmway with locations on all the LFS, including farmway from 1-3. I dont drive so i had to walk in. Pasir Ris farmway 1 is where mainland tropica is while Pasir ris farmway 2-3 is known for KS + OTF.
