Hi, are holland rams high maintenance or low? Was curious as i dint want to disturb the harmony in my 2 ft community tank, ie. platy, cardinal, rummy n harlequin. Cos i saw some cheep ones @ NA goin for $2+. Do they grow out big and are they aggressive? the more colorful ones tt i saw were displayg some agression to those lesser ones...

Rams r considered community dwellers, so shldnt be a pro mixing them with yr present fish stock.. aggression is usually among the same species or during breeding period.

I got a pair of holland rams(round) and they're in my 2ft tank 2 with 10+ cardinal tetras,otto,SAE,malayan and cherry shrimps and the rams are happily eating snails and leaving the rest alone. They even school with the cardinal tetras! cool...
Note: these are the round rams...the balloon rams...small ones.
Hey cool Simon, will take note of tt, the only thing I've noticed today while i was @ TB was tt the smaller shop had some local rams, some were e usual color, some yellow... But their fins were all badly nipped, I spose it was the work of tankmates.
Ben on e other hand, had some round ones, and they looked pretty peaceful, least they werent in bad cond., i noticed NA has exactly the same ones goin @ $2.50, think TB was $1 if I'm right.
But saw some cute panda corys and got 2 instead $2.50 each, their pretty active and supposedly pretty stable by now accordg to e lil boy @ the shop.

is holland rams aka ballon rams ... round body with long fins ? looking for rams for my 2 ft cardinal/rummy tetras tank too. not sure if i shd shd get the blue ram with more intense colour as the balloon ram seem to have duller colour.
