Great!! I always see the bigger pieces in isolation. It seems like they are difficult to manage (in term of their territorial behaviour) once they grown up.

My 6ft is near to its max capacity... but I must say I am extremely tempted to get 2 !! I read that they are strictly vegetarian. I have bala shark who is tearing down my flame moss in the tank, I do not mind another 2 FF to join in the "fun"

anyone keeping them ? can share more ?
Can they share tetrabits with the rest of my fish ?

FF are peacefull toward other tank mate but not to their own species, try to get more than 2,or else they will fight.and slowly the weakest one will die off.

    Hi Joey

Hope you have a spare tank for the rest of the inhabitants when your Feifeng grows big. They are the giants of the pencilfish familythat belong more in a monster fish tank. You could check out the smaller pencils like the Leoprinus, very pretty but they seem to have a bad rep among small fish. Or spotted headstanders which are peaceful and inexpensive but interesting fish.

ok. I currently is on 6ft. I want to upgrade to a bigger one in due time. thanks for your advise.

Last check... Given that I have quite a large school of tiger barbs (around 40), and they are super aggressive during feeding, are we sure ff will do well with these little terrors ??
