Was doing some trimming when suddenly this out-of-space aline-like creature came swimming to my arm. Had a jolt I told my wife abt it and she immediately identify it as a nymph, dragonfly's. Its pretty weird cuz I'm using a Boyu tank, with almost 95% of the tank all covered up leaving just a small gap for the ventilation and fan. Have any of you experienced this before? My tank is located abt 5m from the window, so its hard to imagine a dragonfl flying into my home and laid some eggs in my tank!

I left it alone and the next day I saw it on the water surface with its new set of wings. I tried to help it out by removing the nymph onto my window ledge and left it there. Left it there and after 2 hrs i came over to inspect it. Actually I did more harm than trying to be nice. Its wings actually got clipped to the body, and with the late afternoon sun it dried up and the wings got stucked onto its body. Oh dear! I tried poking it to see whether its still alive. Unfortunately its ded already. My fault. I shld have left nature takes it course. Urgh!

    Lesson learnt..

I had thought so too but the last addition of plants was 2 months ago.

A dragonfly nymph can stay between a few months to years in the nymph stage.

Sometimes Nature is best left to its own course.

Intervention may sometimes work in the opposite direction instead of as intended!
