First you should notice is the stillness of the fish....loss of appetite during feeding, shuns company from other fronts....
Since administering the medication, fish have recovered significantly...
How many fronts have you got....
I'm stocking a 4 x 2 ft tank with 4 fronts at the moment, plan to purchase two more....

Dark subdued lighting, as Fronts live deep in the rift lakes, provide a good atmosphere for them, some hiding places (like rock caves and clay pots)are important for the territorial instinct of males....many recommend white coral sand to buffer the water, but I use black gravels and some coral pieces....
A good diet, like Tetrabits or JBL Novo Bits, and frozen / freeze dried brine shrimp or krill as a treat.....Not forgettign the abovementioned tip to keep your PH high (8.5 ideal) to gain the best results....
This should provide a pleasing result in your fronts....
    Enjoy your beauties....

I've added a new front to my brood....
    and two clown loaches....
I'm thinking about putting natural river sand in place of my black large sized gravel as food is gettign trapped beneath it..

i love them too but i dont have any now.

a thing to take note abt having clown loaches with predatorial (esp piscivores...fisheaters i.e)

if you so happen to have large fish (fronts in your case) with clown loaches (or any loaches) .. be sure the size difference is not as big as to have the fronts seeing the loaches as food.

loaches are armed with very tough spikes below their eyes near the mouth. if swallow, they can lodge themselves in the mouths of their predators.

i know of incidents of big fish substaining bad mouth injuries and dying from attacking loaches.

Point taken....The locahes a larger than the fronts. which are only fry at this point, and fronts grow very slowly, giving the loaches a chance to pace their growth and not be victims.....
