ISTA Surface Skimmer

Bought one just now from NA. I thought i can connect it up to my Eden 501 hose but..!!!

I find that the hose is too small to be connected to the skimmer. Darn!! Wasted money and trip again...

Anyone using this skimmer before?

Why doesn't it have any suction cups so that it canstay close to the wall. Urgh!!!

Get a hose that can fit between each other and cut a small portion to connect each other, i do that for mine. If cant go in, use hot water, it will expand and there you can fix it, dont soap too long as it may damage your hose, a quick one will do.

It its the white color skimmer you talking about it should fit the eden. Was using it before selling off my eden 501. The skimmer should come with a connector for small hose.

yerp! the white one.. doesn't find any connector you are talking about though...hhhmmm

looks extremely HUGE in my 1ft tank... decide to take it out.. maybe use for another project..

I remember reading from http://www.cau-aqua.net/index.php?op...tpage&Itemid=1 , they DIYed an eden 501 skimmer.
