Hi My name is Bill
Im a PR. from US. Been living in Singapore on and off for about 4 years.
I have been into fish tanks now on and off for 40 years. You name it if it would fit into a tank I have owend it.
I have built my own trickle filters and lighting systems in the past . Now I am using a custom built tank. Not so big and no dragon fish just 200+ litters newly planted and lots of community fish.![]()

Hi Nick
Lighting systems are easy to make . Trickle filters are more complex and take more time . Ill right more on filters at another time .I have had as many as 5- 48" bulbs on timers over a reaf tank.
All you need is a board to your lengh , bulbs, some screws ' tin foil ' and light starters and end caps . oh and electric cords with power piont ends . Witch you can cut off any electric appliance
There are many ways to assemble them depending on your tank top .
Of coarse they are not factory made so they dont have a nice shinny apearence but they are custom made to fit you direct needs.
Its easy to do this in the US you can get all the hardware at one store except the bulbs. Here in Singapore you might have to shop around to find what you need.
best to find old disregaurded lighting fixtures thats the cheapest way .
