    Hi all,

am keeping a red scarlet hermit in my marine Nano tank for about a month plus... Heard that it'll need to 'upgrade' its shell over time in order to grow...

Would like to ask bros in here where can I get (buy or get FOC) these shells from? Anyone in here got any of such shells that you'd like to give away, do PM me ok? Thanks alot!!!

    Cheers!!

These are way too big for the a hermit crab that can live in a nano tank. Measure the diameter of the aperture of the shell your crab is currently using. I may have a few to spare.

    Hi Johnc,

thanks for the great offer!!! Guess my scarlet is still rather small, the diameter of the aperture of the shell is less than 1 cm - if you meant the hole (opening) of the shell itself; the widest width of the hermit is less than 2 cm... [So now I'm wondering whether if it's so small in size because of me not providing it with bigger shells to 'upgrade' & grow...]

Hope that you have shells suitable for my Hermit... If you have, do let me know the day/place/time that you are convenient with for me to collect from you. Cheers!! [I'm going to tell my Scarlet Hermit this good news that it'll soon be able to 'upgrade' its house!!! That's the advantage of living in a "PAP" constituency - Punggol!!! LOL!!! ]

Oh, for that size, I should have plenty for you to choose from.

I am doubtful, though that the growth of the crab is restricted by the size of the shell. Hermits, just don't grow rapidly.

Drop me a PM with your mobile number, and if possible a photo of your crab against a ruler, and I will get a few shells out ready for you.

    Regards,

    /John
